NAVIGATING TRAININGS 2025
JRMSU President welcomes Philippine Navy NRCen-WM Commander

January 10, 2025—Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit, University President of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), welcomed Commander Wendelboy Buntag PN, (GSC), the newly appointed head of the Naval Reserve Center Western Mindanao (NRCen-WM), during a courtesy visit at the JRMSU-Main Campus.

The visit facilitated discussions regarding the establishment of the Department of Naval Science and Tactics Office and other arrangements and training concerns for JRMSU-Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JRMSU-ROTC) units in the Siocon and Dapitan campuses. The meeting aimed to harmonize training protocols and align them with the institution’s commitment to holistic education.
Commander Buntag was accompanied by members of the Philippine Navy General Staff Corps headed by NRCen-WM Deputy Commander LCDR Felipe Andrino PN: TSGT Gempesaw PN (M), TSGT Gornez PN (M), PO2 Navarro PN, SN1 Peteros PN, and ASN Malimban PN.

This visit was facilitated by the following JRMSU officials: Dr. Patrick G. Galleto, Dapitan Campus Director; Dr. Richard R. Cabaron, Director National Service Training Program (NSTP); and Dr. Victor B. Bernido, University Disaster Risk Reduction Management System (UDRRMS) Director and Reserved Naval Commission Officer.
