Dr. Lanioso takes seat as new University VPAA
As mandated by Memorandum Order No. 102, Series of 2014, Dr. Aida O. Lanioso took her seat as the new Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) of Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) effective October 3, 2014.

Dr. Lanioso, 55, was introduced by Prof. Jay D. Telen, Dean of Student Affairs and Services (DSAS), on October 13 during the flag raising ceremony with the presence of Dr. Edgar S. Balbuena, University President, and Dr. Evelyn Campiseño, Vice President for Research, Extension and Development.
As the newly-designated VPAA, Dr. Lanioso is expected to carry out all educational policies, programs and projects as well as the supervision of the curriculum development of the University. Furthermore, it is also the VPAA‘s duty to attend the meetings of the Academic Council in the absence of the University President, and to oversee the campus administrators, deans and directors of JRMSU.
“I will really work hard so that the students will be provided with quality services. I will start building relationships with the faculty. I will encourage them to perform and give their full commitment as catalyst of change and take part in molding the stu-dents in preparation for their lives,” Dr. Lanioso stated.
Whence, Dr. Lanioso earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education (BSAE) at Zamboanga del Norte Agricultural College (ZNAC) in 1979, took her Master‘s Degree in Agricultural Technology Education at Central Mindanao State University (CMSU) in 1992, and graduated as Doctor of Education at Jose Rizal Memorial State College (JRMSC) –Dapitan in 2008.
In addition, the aforementioned VPAA became the former dean of the College of Agriculture in JRMSU-Katipunan for almost ten years, and the Campus administrator of the same school for five years.
“I will be working together with the deans of different colleges and with the directors under my stewardship to provide quality education, and to attain the vision and mission of the University,” Dr. Lanioso said in an interview.
