JRMSU SELECOM Chief Commissioner, 9th Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Student in RP

Christmas is more merry for the JRMSU’s pride, Zyron Mark A. Laus, a fifth year Accountancy student, for being hailed as top 9 in the 31st Search of Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines during the commemoration of the 123rd Martyrdom of the National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal at Rizal Park Hotel, Manila.
The university’s SELECOM Chief Commissioner first was hailed qualified as one of the 12 finalists selected by the JRMSP Search Committee headed by its chairman Sir Allan L. Rellon, KGOR, Supreme Chancellor in a closed session last December 7 at the International Headquarters and was announced to the public by the Knights of Rizal International Headquarters Supreme Council last 16th of December.
Mr. Laus, then, faced the Search Committee for an intensive final interview composed of a 30-minute on-the-spot essay writing and a panel interview with 5 persons together with the Tagum City Mayor and the Knights of Rizal Supreme Chancellor, Mayor Allan Rellon, KGCR, which was slated on December 29 together with the other 11 finalists from Ateneo de Manila University, UP Los Baños, Laguna State Polytechnic University, University of Nueva Caceres, Pangasinan State University-Bayambang Campus, De La Salle Lipa, University of Baguio, Baliuag University, Isabela State University, UE Manila, and Adamson University. He was escorted by Mr. Darwin Magbanua all throughout the event.
The Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines started in 1988 to honor students with special achievements in line with the values and teaching of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
