Extension program with theme “Academe-Probation Partnership: Enhancing Parole and Probation Supervision through Volunteerism”
On February 16, 2023, the faculty of Master of Science in Criminal Justice launched their extension program with theme “Academe-Probation Partnership: Enhancing Parole and Probation Supervision through Volunteerism. It was attended by the dean of the graduate school and attended by the extension director, the faculty of MSCJ, the probation officer, staff, and probationers. The extension program aimed to assist in the rehabilitation and supervision of the probationers and parolees with topics designed to provide the required knowledge and skills for effective transformation. The topics included (1) elements, penalties, and fines of crimes against person and property, (2) provisions, penalties, and fines of RA 9165, (3) preventive measures for the avoidance of crime re-commission, (4) restorative justice education, and (5) personality development. The culmination program was held on March 31, 2023 which was attended by the probationers, the CPPO, probation staff, and the MSCJ program chair and faculty.
