JRMSU-Main University Library receives book donations, holds turnover ceremony
Jose Rizal Memorial State University-Main hosted a turnover ceremony in honor of Mrs. Judith Apao and her family for donating various types of educational materials for the university last August 30, 2023 at the JRMSU library.
The books came in a large bulk containing learning materials, with about one-hundred pieces, varying widely from encyclopedias, textbooks, manuals, novels, and storybooks, which aim to provide the Ilustrados greater empowerment through education.
The ceremony commenced with a video-aided prayer and national anthem, followed by the welcoming remarks of Miss Fe Alavanza, the University Librarian, then a short inspirational message of Mrs. Apao.
After giving the certificate of recognition, Dr. Marvin Recapente, Campus Administrator, gave his acceptance message, followed by the closing remarks by Sir Julius Bacatan.
Mrs. Apao’s willingness to donate was primarily because of her family being part of the alumni association. This is also her family’s first book donation and the Ilustrados are grateful for the generous gesture.
