11th Students’ Fest blasts off; defies prior setbacks
Bearing the theme “Enhancing JRMSU’s Innovation Potential Framework Towards Addressing Industrial Revolution and Globalization 4.0 Challenges,” the student festival ignited the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the delegates of categories A, B, and C.
The Supreme Student Government (SSG) spearheaded the annual celebration of talents and skill with an opening foot parade that showcased the identities and combative spirits of the faculty and students from the different colleges as they marched along the Dapitan Poblacion Road.
“This is a healthy competition. This should promote oneness in the midst of diversity. This measures our character, our values, and attitude. We need to exemplify humility in times of victory and magnanimity in times of defeat. This is a clash of talents but not a clash of relationships; a wrestle of wit but not a wrestle of the JRMSUan spirit,” said Dr. Jay D. Telen, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), as he emphasized the importance of converging, unifying, and solidifying the talents of the JRMSUans in the ISF.
With the excitement built up, the Saludo and Bench Yell Competitions followed. Various categories in sports, literary, and musical competitions are set to ignite the whole duration of the event.
