The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) taps Jose Rizal Memorial State University in its quest to establish a link between the academe and the cooperative sector for its CDA Laws and Awareness Program (CLAP) and Training of Trainers through inking a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Manuel Resort, Piñan, Zamboanga del Norte on September 28, 2024.
As a partner academic institution in Zamboanga Peninsula, JRMSU is set to benefit from the CDA’s two programs namely the CDA Laws Awareness Program (CLAP) and the Training of Trainers. The CLAP seeks to provide law schools, law students/Law Student Practitioners (LSPs) with knowledge about cooperative laws and regulations, immersing them in real-world legal challenges thereby preparing them for future practice in the cooperative sector.
The Training of Trainers program will enable JRMSU to be a CDA-recognized Institution authorized to conduct Training of Trainers to the CDA-accredited Cooperative Training Providers’ pool of trainers, leading to the realization of a shared commitment to cooperative education and training.
Present during the MOA Signing is the University President, Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jay D. Telen, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Dr. Rizza B. Bagalanon, University Legal Officer, Atty. Lino P. Viadnes, Extension Director, Prof. Bobmil Flores, JRMSU-EMPC Manager, Prof. Añeja D. Palomares, and JRMSU-EMPC Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Dr. Wilfredo D.
