JRMSU CCJE faculty recognized by PCAP
In recognition of extraordinary service, leadership, and commitment to the field and the community, Dr. Rowell B. Pallega from the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) JRMSU-Main Campus, received a back-to-back award from the Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) last November 7 and 8, 2024, at the Okada Hotel, Manila.
Given during the prestigious 28th Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) National Convention and the 1st Criminology Profession Summit, Dr. Pallega accepted the 𝐆𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐠 Natatanging Paglilingkod Award and the Dakilang Kriminologo—The Justice Felix Angelo Bautista Award, recognizing Dr. Pallega’s exceptional service and dedication to the field of criminology and also underscoring his significant contributions to the profession.
The Gawad ng Natatanging Paglilingkod Award (Award for Outstanding Service) is a prestigious recognition granted to individuals or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary service, leadership, and commitment to their field or to community. This award is typically presented by government agencies, professional organizations, or institutions to honor those who have gone above and beyond in their duties.
On the other hand, the Dakilang Kriminologo—The Justice Felix Angelo Bautista Award is a distinguished award presented in honor of Justice Felix Angelo Bautista, a notable figure in Philippine criminology. Justice Bautista was instrumental in establishing criminology as a recognized profession in the Philippines and is remembered for his contributions to legal education, public service, and criminological research. This award is designed to honor criminologists who embody Justice Bautista’s legacy through their excellence in the field, commitment to justice, and dedication to public service.
The University President, Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit, together with the JRMSU community, held its salute to congratulate Dr. Rowell B. Pallega for this recognition from the PCAP, acknowledging his steadfast commitment to justice, dedication to public service, and excellence in the field.
