A RIZALIAN LEADERSHIFT
JRMSU sends delegation to NRYLI 2024


The resounding passion to carry forward Dr. Jose Rizal’s vision of excellence and patriotism continues to be a beacon of inspiration as the Jose Rizal Memorial State University delegates bagged recognitions during the National Rizal Youth Leadership Institute (NRYLI) 2024 held at the Benitez Hall, Teachers Camp, Baguio City, December 5-9, 2024.

With the theme “Rizalian LeaderSHIFT,” this event gathered 700 young leaders from 84 different institutions across the country for meaningful activities, leadership training, and thought-provoking discussions, which underscores a call to action in honor of Rizal’s legacy. Substantiated by contemporary thought leaders, each session was filled with historical awareness and compelling insights aiming to address the unique and complex societal challenges faced by the Filipino youth of this generation.

Moreover, in spright pursuit of excellence and leadership, the JRMSU delegation aced in the following competing categories:

CHAMPION (Essay Writing Competition, English Category)
Ivan Kert Peruda – Coach: Mr. Kevin Paul Librea, The State Collegian Adviser

SECOND PLACE (Rizal Quiz Bee)
Merdz Hegine Empuesto – Coach: Mr. Darwin Magbanua, Knights of Rizal member

FIFTH PLACE (Rizal Quiz Bee)
Kino Andrew T. Mamigo – Coach: Mr. Philip Rabin Tagapan, CTEd faculty

Meanwhile, April Kris D. Castillo, TSC Editor-in-Chief , and Ken June A. Elopre, TSC Associate Editor, achieved significant recognition as part of the Official Publication of NRYLI 2024: The Leaders. Their dedication and exceptional contributions to journalism did not go unnoticed, highlighting their commitment to excellence and the impactful role of The Leaders in this esteemed event.
