STRENGTH AHEAD
JRMSU Thanksgiving Ceremony in Prelude to SOUA 2024

“Joshua needed God’s wisdom, strength, and courage to lead them forward. Just like Joshua, Dr. Rio took on a great responsibility as the President of the university. And just as God was with Joshua, He has been with Dr. Rio, guiding and strengthening her to lead this institution,” Ptr. Urbano “Bong” Montilla said as he resembled the leadership of University President Dr. Maria Rio Abdon Naguit to Joshua during the Thanksgiving Ceremony, December 20, 2024 at the Audio-Visual Hall (AVH), CNAHS, JRMSU Dapitan City.

With the theme “Strength and Courage: Leading with God’s Promises,” this Thanksgiving Ceremony was conducted to preserve faith and to express gratitude in reverence to the Almighty for the successful undertakings accomplished on the first year of leadership of Dr. Naguit as University President as the institution aspires to move towards additional undertakings in the upcoming years.

This important ceremony, that served as a prelude to the inaugural State of the University Address of Dr. Naguit included a Praise and Worship led by the In-tunes of CitiHarvest Church, followed by spiritual insights from Joshua 1:1-9 shared by Ptr. Montilla, Senior Pastor of CitiHarvest Church. Soon after, the JRMSU community laid hands over Dr. Naguit while a spirit-filled prayer was led by Ptr. Montilla and Ptr. Michael U. Venegas, the Host Pastor of Jesus Is Lord Church, together with Ptr. Daryl Ann G. Montilla. As the event closed, Dr. Naguit extended gratitude to the invited Pastors who ministered during the Thanksgiving Celebration.

Truly, every accomplishment is ascribed to the Almighty for blessing this generation of industry leaders with the ability to produce success. May God’s grace accompany the JRMSU Administration and the whole JRMSU community as it faces 2025.
