Academic Achievement
Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) endeavors to provide students quality education and academic excellence – this has borne fruits of laurels. The University has always been proud of its students who show outstanding brilliance and magnificence in the areas of academics and in extra and co-curricular activities.
Numerous students capped sterling feats in regional and national competitions. JRMSU was declared hall of famer in National Rizal and History Quiz being four-time champion edging big State Universities and Colleges all throughout the Philippines. It also excelled in Math Challenge and other battle of the brains contests. Their achievements are manifestations of quality and excellence in education offered by the University.
Students of the University also outshone competitors from other institutions in different sports, literary and musical competitions.
Student Enrollment
Comparative student enrolment during the 1st Semester of School Year 2011- 2012 and 1st Semester of School Year 2012 – 2013 across campus shows an increase of 11.2 % in the Main Campus, Dapitan City (from 35.67% to 46.87%); 0.2694 per cent in the Katipunan Campus, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte (from 10.29% to 10.56%) with 11.06% over-all increase of enrolment in the University.
Performance in Board Examinations
The University prides itself on showing remarkable performance in various licensure examinations conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as evidenced in performance ratings in Licensure/Board Examinations for Teachers (Elementary and Secondary), Maritime Education, Midwifery, Criminology, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nursing and Agriculture, as shown in the performance ratings which are beyond the national percentage of passing (NPP).

Scholarship Grants
During the School Year 2011-2012, government and private agencies trusted the University’s capacity of honing students holistically for them to be useful to themselves and to the community. Several scholarships have been granted to worthy students. The University has also taken its part of leading determined and responsible students in the achievement of their desired careers by granting institutional scholarships. From the overall scholarships granted, the University has a total of 1,498 scholars during the first semester and 1, 284 during the second semester.JRMSU successfully produced topnotchers in different board courses.
