JRMSU Katipunan GAD Unit Head Conducts Lecture on Safe Spaces and Anti-Sexual Harassment Laws
Dr. Llewellyn Prejoles, Gender and Development (GAD) Unit Head of JRMSU Katipunan Campus, led a lecture on Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) and Republic Act No. 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995) on January 22, 2025. The session, conducted as part of the World of Work (WOW) program for Criminology students under the School of Criminal Justice Education, aimed to enhance awareness of legal measures addressing sexual harassment and gender-based violence.
Dr. Prejoles emphasized the importance of these laws in fostering safe environments in workplaces, schools, and public spaces. He highlighted institutional and individual responsibilities in preventing and addressing sexual harassment. The lecture engaged students in discussions, reinforcing JRMSU’s commitment to gender sensitivity and preparing future law enforcers to advocate for justice and equality.
