SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DR. JOVELYN M. CANTINA
OIC, IMD Director
- Upholds the demands of the work.
- Conducts himself/herself according to the standard of integrity and morality in the Civil Service.
- Upholds and protects the name and integrity of the Office.
- Renders full efficient service to clientele.
- Attends to the immediate needs of the clients.
- Performs his/her duties and functions with a high degree of civic conscience.
- Protects at all times the interest of the IMD Office, and the constituents therein, either in writing, open discussion, or business transaction.
- Refrains from the performance of activities that are not related to duties and functions during office hours/transacting business with clients outside the office.
- Accomplishes records of clients and other forms properly and submit the same to offices concerned on time.
- Disseminates memos and other information to faculty and officials concerned.
- Makes memos and communication relative to IMD.
- Conceives designs, evaluates and disseminates instructional materials.
- Helps instructors develop their instructional materials.
- Provides, inquiry-based and pedagogically-sound instructional materials.
- Conducts activities, seminar-workshops and training relative to the development of instructional materials
- Submits IMs for ISBN.
- Contacts publishers for IMs publication.
- Provides updated, organized and readily accessible collection of print and non-print materials that support the academic curriculum of the JRMSU System.
- Preserves the IMDO collections of instructional materials.
- Provides access to IMD collections and services.
- Establishes linkages with reputable HEIs in the country.
- Exchanges instructional materials with reputable HEIs in the country.
- Maintains a management system through the development and review or policies, procedures, guidelines and format of instructional materials.
- Participates in national and international seminar-workshops and training relative to instructional materials development.
- Presides IMD meeting in the absence of the VPAA.
- Coordinates with the Vice-President for Academic Affairs.

- Be genuinely concerned with the welfare of the clients.
- Refrains from the performance of activities that are not related to duties and functions during office hours/transacting business with clients outside the office.

- Makes memos to faculty of the college relative to IMD.
- Disseminates memos and other information to faculty concerned.
- Records minutes of meeting in all IMD activities in the college.
- Documents IMD activities in the college.
- Files IMD documents.
- Encodes and edits instructional materials.
- Makes office communication relative to IMD.
- Acts as secretariat, facilitator and documenter during the conduct of IMD activities in the college.
- Conceives designs, evaluates and disseminates instructional materials.
- Helps instructors of the college develop their instructional materials.
- Provides, inquiry-based and pedagogically-sound instructional materials.
- Conducts activities, seminar-workshops and training in the college relative to the development of instructional materials
- Provides updated, organized and readily accessible collection of print and non-print materials that support the academic curriculum of the campus.
- Preserves the IMDO collections of instructional materials.
- Provides access to IMD collections and services.
- Establishes linkages with reputable HEIs in the country.
- Exchanges instructional materials with reputable HEIs in the country.
- Participates in national and international seminar-workshops and training relative to instructional materials development.
- Recommends faculty in the college for national and international seminar-workshops and training relative to instructional materials development.
- Coordinates with the Campus IMD Coordinator, Dean of Instruction/Campus Administrator and Director for Instructional Materials Development.
